About the School:

The Rural Enterprise Academy is based in a safe, rural setting where pupils have access to a range of high-quality facilities as well as the great outdoors. Our curriculum makes the most of both, ensuring pupils are able to develop the skills and knowledge they need for a career in our specialism.

We are a small school with only two classes of 30 students per year from Year 7 to Year 11. All students and staff know each other and as such we attract many students who thrive in a quieter, smaller environment than the usual hustle and bustle of a large secondary school. We form a close community of like-minded teachers and learners and together are able to achieve fantastic results.

Our pupils make our school unique and we are very proud of them. Through our research-based approach to teaching and learning, we believe that each and every pupil has the ability to excel regardless of their starting points.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to inspire, enthuse and motivate students to ensure that they achieve their full potential
  • Be a passionate teacher who contributes effectively to whole school improvement
  • Be able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school
  • Have high expectations of themselves and others
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible and a good team player
