The Role

We invite applications for the post of Clerical Assistant to join our forward-thinking and successful school. The successful candidate will join a friendly, welcoming, supportive and dedicated team.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work within our administration team. The successful candidate will be working in either Student or Visitor reception supporting all members of the school community and ensuring the smooth running of the school. Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to work supportively and effectively in a team, as well as innovatively and independently.


The closing date for this post is 12/05/2025, but we reserve the right to interview candidates as applications are received and shortlisted. Start date to be agreed with successful candidate.


Working pattern will either be 8.00am-4.00pm or 8.30am-4.30pm (with a half hour earlier finish on Fridays), depending on which Reception area the successful candidate will be working in.

 

Main duties will include:

  • Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems
  • Undertake routine administrative procedures, which may include supporting with attendance
  • Operate relevant equipment/computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, ParentPay, SIMS, Internet)
  • Provide general advice and guidance to staff, pupils, parents and visitors
  • Undertake routine financial administration e.g. processing orders, receipt, recording and banking of monies due to the school
  • Basic first aid

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective use of IT packages, good organising, planning and prioritising skills
  • An eye for detail
  • A passion for working alongside and supporting children
  • A commitment to teamwork
