The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for you to join Marshbrook First School as a Nursery Nurse. Our school is a happy, caring and nurturing place where each child is known individually and encouraged to achieve and thrive into confident, caring citizens. We have a dedicated, highly qualified team of staff who always go the extra mile, who promote a warm and friendly ethos, so that all children can flourish. We work hard to put children’s welfare and happiness at the heart of everything we do. 


Candidates would need to be adaptable with a friendly, helpful approach and have lots of enthusiasm with a warm, caring nature. You would need to be fast thinking and willing to learn and most importantly enjoy working with children. You would need to be confident at leading activities to groups of children and have some fantastic ideas that can be implemented into our already wide range of activities on offer.


The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification or be working towards/prepared to work towards a Level 3 qualification.

The working hours are: Monday-Friday, working times to be in between 8.30am-5.15pm (dependent on staff rota).

  • Liaise with nursery staff to support children in the nursery environment
  • Motivate and encourage engagement and participation in activities
  • Safeguard the children 
  • Liaise with parents and the community
  • Promote good behaviour within the nursery
